関西弁 Kansai Dialect Comedy (Don't want to wait on this video to load? Directly download the file from here)
"Today's a holiday, how about going to the movies?" [bump!] "....oh..I forgot my lines" [everyone laughs] "Hey you, bro..."
"Oh no! The mafia! Let's get out of here!"
[throws his hat down] "Hey what do you think you're doing!?" [beats him up] [his fingers being cut] "Noo-! Stop!" [something I can't translate] [smacks him on the shoulder to chide] "What's wrong with you?" [everyone laughs; the end!]
For a day we learned Kansai dialect from local Japanese students (something like the US's 'southern' dialects). In the end, each group was asked to make up a skit using Kansai. Our teacher wondered why one girl kept teaching a group patented mafia-only words and phrases...until in this hilarious moment we understood. Sometimes we students can be really creative when left to our own devices! (~_^)
The students shown here are Boss [his nickname] from Taiwan, Sebastian from Germany, and Jared from the USA.
